Magazine
For this project, I designed a magazine focused on hiking and the importance of leaving no trace. The publication emphasizes why it’s crucial to clean up after yourself, protect natural spaces, and minimize your impact on the trail. A key challenge was balancing the amount of text to provide enough information without overcrowding the layout. This project strengthened my attention to language and spatial awareness, helping me effectively integrate text with visual design.

Explore
I explored several layout concepts for the magazine, focusing on placing the tree at the center of the page to draw the viewer’s attention. By highlighting the garbage caught in its branches, I aimed to visually emphasize why litter doesn’t belong in these natural spaces. The design also helps communicate the potential damage trash can cause to the trails if people continue leaving it behind.
